Ogonna Agu Tango for the Right to Education Hello! My name is Ogonna Agu (Oh-G). Welcome to my Dance for the Right to Education website. As a New York City public school teacher, I dedicate my time and talent to our city’s most vulnerable students. Having worked with special needs populations in Lagos, Nigeria and, now for over 3 years, in NYC, I have experienced, in no small measure, the educational disparities that prevent some individuals and groups from developing their abilities, competencies, aptitudes, and skills. Through these years, I have been both teacher and advocate for my students. My commitment, through the Human Rights Project, to raising awareness of these disparities in NYC’s schools is fuelled by familiarity and experience. Lexa Rosean is our very talented instructor. Her unique teaching style and incredible patience make her a joy to work with. Please click here to meet my partner Sean. To get involved, you may support me by donating online. You can also donate by check payable to: The Urban Justice Center (please write “Ogonna Agu” in the memo section) and send to: Tatiana Bejar, Human Rights Project Thank you for your generosity and support. I look forward to sending you updates. Have a great summer. -OgonnaAgu |
